My oldest daughter has noticed the Easter displays, of course they’ve only been around since before Valentines, we spend most trips telling her ‘no’ - she takes it pretty well for a 3 year old. I love the Easter program at church - there is lots of singing and afterwards I like the chocolate, ham with mustard sauce, and when my daughter got old enough to do an easter egg hunt it added a whole new dimension of fun to the holiday - little kids get so excited by the egg hunt!

I’ve already been to the thrift store to find what I can in the way of baskets and decorations… people have been known to donate those plastic eggs and goofy toys with life left in them. I found some really pressed glass bunnies - very Martha. Every holiday since we had babies I’ve realized how much I miss my mother’s festive holiday decorations around the house. We don’t live close enough to be home for the holidays - this is a bit of an understatement when we are at post in South America.

I’m determined to make sure that we have nice decorations we can get out a few weeks ahead of a holiday to decorate the house, I loved that my mom had stuff for each holiday. Much of the decorations were painted by her own hand, give me 20 years and I’ll really be ready for Easter.
