frog-1-earth-day.jpgIt isn’t easy being Green, according to Kermit. Ecobiters are proving the ubiquitous frog wrong with a palette of green activities amassed into Earth Week April 20 to 26.There are endless opportunities to get out...

and enjoy the outdoors, get involved in your local and natural community, and become self-motivated to make a difference in the health and sustainability of our environment.

Celebrate Earth Week, do your part through attending - lectures, tours, activities, film screenings, workshops, recyclable crafts etc.

Making real and heartfelt connections to nature is crucial for our survival into the next millennium. It is especially important in this age of virtual reality when so many people - children included  -have become estranged from the natural environment.

Get involved for Earth Week and beyond - Bike riding, gardening, composting, recycling, etc.... It is the annual call to action to preserve the natural environment.

Earth Day is a name used for two different observances, both held annually during spring in the northern hemisphere, and autumn in the southern hemisphere. These are intended to inspire awareness of and appreciation for the Earth's environment.

The United Nations celebrates Earth Day, which was founded by John McConnell in 1969, each year on the March equinox, while a global observance originated by Gaylord Nelson as an environmental teach-in, and since January 1970 also called Earth Day, is celebrated in many countries each year on April 22, including the United States.

Help the environment by reducing waste, conserving energy, recycling, saving water, and protecting our natural resources. Make an Earth Day pledge.

Speak out! Design and make an advocacy button that displays your most passionate environmental issue opinion.

hand_holding_plant_x-small.jpgWith the fight for the environment continuing did Granny know a thing or too? Maybe we should look closer at her low on pollution and low on cost ideas...

Anecdotal evidence indicates that our Granny was a lot wiser with our environment than we think. Not only were Granny's remedies low on pollution, they were low on cost and extremely effective too compared to the mass produced chemicals we see on the supermarket shelves today.
