When you think of the Emmy Awards, you think of the ceremony but not the work done behind the scenes. But behind the scenes, the operative color was green. The massive live production was as eco-friendly as possible, on stage and backstage at Los Angeles' Nokia Theatre.
Alison Brie sported an eco-friendly strapless dress and shrug by L.A. designer Deborah Lindquist, made of sustainable hemp silk and recycled materials: cashmere, leather and cassette tapes. Lily Allen recently returned from a trip to the Amazon in support of Sky Rainforest Rescue - a three year project working in partnership with WWF to help save a billion trees in the state of Acre, northwest Brazil - whilst in the Amazon Lily saw first hand the damaging effects of deforestation and what is being done to help prevent climate change. Lily was also faced with an unwelcome guest - a tarantula in her bed.
