Greetings ecobiters and visitors......... Many people come to this forum site to promote their commercial websites and especially MLM products.

Ecobiters have been complaining about it and may have left ecobites.com because of the frustration of so much spam.

However, sometimes, it can be beneficial to advertise a site when someone is asking for specific advice. For example, a place to purchase green products. Although we are aware of member's joining twice (under two different names) and asking a question and replying with a product, which is not related to our eco forum.

If you post as Dr Zuess's famous book - green eggs and ham (spam), it may be deleted faster than a bluejay stealing a robin's egg, because we would like to see more information and discussion on preserving the environment here and less birdpoo!

Ecobiters do not want to see, where to buy mobile phones, sex aids, vitamin pills etc.

And while we like to see people find information they are looking for, if you blatantly advertise your product not-eco related website, your post WILL hit the compost pile fast. We do have a forum thread (post your Green / Eco website here) where you are most welcome to add your green / eco website.

You see, we want to drive people to THIS website. And as a mod I take pride in what they see. This isn't the classifieds.

Ecobites do have a classifieds section for green / eco related products,and it is free.

Noticed quite a few threads advertising products that are not eco related have hit the compost heap and that is where they deserve to be. Keep up the great work, we don't need spammers.

Yeah why waste your time amd try and sell something that is not related to the site.Keep up the great healthy discussion posts.

Agree. It is great that this site has a free classified site where folks who are trying to start or already have an online business can advertise their "green" products without any cost. Forums are for discussions. Also notice that there is going to be a social networking component added which will be great.
