You might not be able to grow your own food, but you can save money by buying when foods are cheap and storing them. It is usually cheaper to buy large batches of such basics as grains, beans and flour. Store well in airtight containers in a cool, dark cupboard or pantry and you will always eat well. Think twice before tossing leftovers. When food prices continue to reach new heights and with ever more people to share in a growing world, all food should be used. Practise simple economies and we will continue to have plenty to eat. |
