Vacuum Flask Cooking
A wide mouth flask can be used like a haybox cooker. Bring diced veggies + rice and lentils and stock to the boil for a couple of minutes, pour into the flask, cap and leave for a few hours. Haybox For bigger meals make a haybox cooker in an old teachest. Half pack with dried grass, with some more in an old pillow case. Make a nest in the hay to fit the chosen saucepan (or , even better, pressure cooker), wrap in newspaper after boiling, put to bed and tuck in well. This may need re-heating just before eating. |
