1. Once an infant is registered at birth, the Australian Childhood Immunisation Register (ACIR) will track the vaccination history. If the parents are compliant the baby is handed over to the system that administers vaccines according to the Australian Standard Vaccination Schedule.

Some parents choose not to comply. They judge toxic chemicals, and animal viruses and tissues present in vaccines, and listed side effects, as contrary to principles of good health and infant care. They wish to take responsibility for their child’s well-being and assert that it is common sense to investigate a schedule whereby needles carrying disease are aimed at their healthy babies. ACIR will still track the child and remind parents to either vaccinate or submit an exemption form.

In addition to the viral and bacterial RNA and DNA that is part of the vaccine, there are additives e.g.:

formaldehyde animal blood and tissue (monkey, cattle, pig, sheep, dog, chicken, horse, rabbit)

mercury animal viruses gelatin (from cattle or pigs)

aluminium human diploid cells antibiotics

MSG phenoxyethanol (anti-freeze) borax (ant rid)

Viruses grown for vaccine production are grown on animal cell cultures. Rubella, chickenpox and injected polio vaccines are cultured on aborted human foetal tissue.

2. HEPATITIS B INJECTION FOR NEWBORNS

Australia added the birth dose of Hepatitis B vaccine to the schedule on 1^st May 2000, though some western countries shunned the direction from the WHO. It is injected at birth, and at 2, 4 and 6 months. Tests have found that antibodies after vaccination disappeared by 5 to 7 years of age.

The point is that Hepatitis B primarily is a disease in high risk adult groups i.e. unsafe sex and sharing drug needles. As these groups are difficult to reach with vaccination programs, babies are said to be ‘accessible’. Consumer Medicine Information says most adults recover completely from the infection and children may become carriers.

A statements from a medical association in the US says that children are at 14 times greater risk of severe adverse reactions to the vaccine, including death, than they will ever be of contracting Hepatitis B, and that an intelligent and conscientious physician might well recommend AGAINST the vaccine, especially in newborns, unless there is unusual risk

Medical journals have reported research in New Zealand that found a 60% increase in diabetes caused by a Hepatitis B vaccination campaign. Another study associates it with three times more Multiple Sclerosis.

Midwives say newborns showing common side effects from the vaccine are feverish, irritable, in pain and crying persistently. The vaccine is injected into babies within the first day, first ½ hour of life, even at 10 seconds old. Adrenaline must be on hand in case of severe allergic response.

H-B-Vax 11 and Engerix-B vaccines must not be given if the baby has an allergy to them or any ingredients in them e.g. aluminium, formaldehyde (cancer causing, used to pickle dead people), borax, yeast, thiomersal (mercury), polysorbate (known to cause cancer in animals). How does one know a newborn’s allergies? The vaccines are made without blood or other substances of human origin, but in Engerix-B there is exposure to bovine derived materials.

3. POLIO

There is much to learn from a study of polio and the vaccines. It is possible that mild and undetected cases of polio in the community are common because recently vaccinated children can spread the disease via their faeces, and few of the infected show symptoms.

A doctor writes:

"Of every 100 people who become infected with polio 90% are asymptomatic, 9% show signs of viral like illness, sore throat, neck stiffness, weakness, etc, 1% get paralysis. Out of that 1% who get paralysis approximately 10% are left with residual paralysis."

The nature of polio is such that individual susceptibility plays a major role in the symptom picture.

"Polio requires peculiar conditions of susceptibility in the host, and this is why people with such susceptibility develop paralytic polio from the vaccine."

Laboratories are now able to identify diseases that are "clinically indistinguishable from polio". The diseases are identified as aseptic meningitis, cerebral palsy, Guillain-Barre syndrome, encephalomyelitis, transverse myelitis, demyelination, diplegia, hemiplegia, etc.

"When laboratories became available it was discovered that most of what we thought was polio, wasn’t."

A second disaster emerged when the vaccines were found to be contaminated with cancer-causing monkey viruses. The Australian Immunisation Handbook says IPV contains poliovirus types 1, 2, and 3 grown on monkey kidney VERO cells, inactivated with formaldehyde, and OPV contains live attenuated strains of poliovirus types 1, 2, and 3 grown in cultures of monkey kidney cells or on human diploid cells.

Further history says:

"In 1958 the first warning came that all was not well with monkey kidney cells most widely used as primary tissue, particularly for poliomyelitis vaccine. To date more than 40 separate simian (monkey) viruses have been isolated from this tissue. They include virus B, known to cause encephalitis in man, and SV 40, which can produce cancer in hamsters, as well as changes in human cell tissue cultures".

SV 40 is found in brain tumours, mesothelioma lung cancers and cancers of blood and bone.

An Australian newspaper carried a story that read:

"Millions of Australians were knowingly given a polio vaccine contaminated with a monkey virus that has since been linked to a range of cancers, including mesothelioma".

A professor of pathology studying SV 40 says:

"This study explains why 50% of the current mesotheliomas being treated are no longer occurring in association with asbestos exposure".

The monkey viruses are capable of transport in blood and semen, therefore able to infect younger generations. Researchers have found a substantial increase in childhood brain tumours, especially medulloblastomas, in children of mothers that had been vaccinated with the contaminated vaccines.

4. AUTISM

Out-spoken professionals have no doubt that much of today’s autism, aspergers, ADHD and learning difficulties is a legacy of the vaccination era. Official figures give the incidence of autism in the UK at 1 in 150, and in the US it is 1 in 166. With so many children affected, there is said to be an epidemic of autism.

The medical director of a large practice founded by him in 1973 says:

"We have about 30,000 or 35,000 children that we’ve taken care of over the years, and I don’t think we have a single case of autism in children delivered by us who never received vaccines. We would absolutely know. We’re all family doctors. If I have a child with autism come in there’s no communication. It’s frightening. You can’t touch them. It’s not something that anyone would miss."

"In the alternative-medicine network, which we are a part of, there are virtually no cases of childhood asthma, in contrast to the overall rate of approximately 10%."

The medical system needs to listen to parents when they say their child was developing normally, and they know their child became autistic after a vaccine.

Teachers say many more children are troubled by disturbed learning and behaviour patterns than was seen 20 years ago, and more profoundly. They speak of failure to ‘get through to’ certain groups in the classroom and they suspect that vaccination is the factor that isolates these children in an unresponsive world.

The most-studied scientist, in her book linking behavioural problems with vaccines, comments that most studies neglect the mind and behaviour altering effect of vaccines on young people, and says increasing numbers of children all over the developed world behave in a defiant and aggressive way, and that management with drugs has extensive short-term effects and unknown long-term effects.

5. SAFETY AND EFFECTIVENESS

Researchers have compiled graphs based on death numbers, as a result of infectious diseases, that are recorded in the Official Year Books of the Commonwealth of Australia.

Some of the books include these graphs with similar comments that:

"The graphs provide clear evidence that the major decline in mortality from infectious disease occurred BEFORE vaccination commenced, and what’s more, that the introduction of widespread vaccination had virtually no impact on the rate of decline thereafter".

The decline is attributed to improved standards of living, nutrition, hygiene and sanitation.

An Australian principal research scientist writes:

"No vaccine has ever undergone a double-blind placebo-controlled study. Without this research, no conclusions can be drawn as to their safety or effectiveness".

"They do not immunise. This is official, this is based on immunological research. They sensitise, and it means they make the recipient more susceptible to the disease. That’s why children get whooping cough from the vaccine."

A study in a medical journal concluded that "whooping cough infections are common in an immunised population". The same is said of measles and mumps.

There are no studies that consider the long-term effects of vaccination on the immature immune system of babies. There are no scientific grounds for giving the vaccines at 2, 4 and 6 months of age. It has become a tradition with no scientific basis. Some medical professionals will say "our use of vaccines is not based on good science", and "vaccines are a billion dollar industry, with a billion reasons there why it’s continued".

Infectious diseases are now being replaced by increased chronic disease. Childhood asthma, eczema, allergies, leukaemia, arthritis, cerebral palsy, diabetes, epilepsy, permanent brain damage, are all linked to vaccination, as are SIDS and so-called Shaken Baby Syndrome.

A noted paediatrician in the US says in his book:

"My suspicion, which is shared by others in my profession, is that the nearly 10,000 SIDS deaths that occur in the US each year are related to one or more of the vaccines that are routinely given to children. The pertussis vaccine is the most likely villain, but it could also be the others".

The National Health and Medical Research Council lists adverse reactions following vaccination that should be reported by the vaccine provider and says no time limit has been set as some adverse events related to vaccination could occur many years later.

Listed are:

death, meningitis, encephalitis, encephalopathy, rash, persistent screaming, osteomyelitis, fever over 40.5, arthritis, seizures, sepsis, thrombocytopenia (bleeding), allergic reaction, toxic-shock syndrome, Guillain-Barre Syndrome, SSPE (central nervous system degenerative condition), vaccine associated paralytic poliomyelitis, etc.

According to the Adverse Drug Reaction Advisory Commission (ADRAC) less than 10% of these reactions occurring in children are reported. Information supplied by the vaccine manufacturers, called vaccine package inserts or consumer medicine information, will list additional adverse reactions. The pages may be available from a vaccine provider or pharmacist.

For up to 90 days children given polio, measles, mumps, rubella and chickenpox live virus vaccines can transmit the infection to others and can develop the disease themselves. Influenza vaccine commonly is followed by ill-effects described as flu-like sickness and a never-well-since condition that lasts for months and even years. A recent large-scale study in the US found the vaccine no more than 21% to 40% effective in preventing flu in the elderly.

The UK and the US have a system of compensation for vaccine injury. The millions that have been paid out to a small number of the thousands of victims comes from taxpayers, not drug companies. No such compensation is offered in Australia.

6. DISCRIMINATION

Much is heard and written from the pro-vaccination aspect, however it is unhelpful that statements made are largely unreferenced and lack statistical evidence. Little of the other side sees the light of day, though a great amount of well-referenced material has been written and published. Some of these other (medical) writers recall their original belief in vaccination until doubts cast from personal experiences led them on a road to research, and ultimately to rejection of vaccines.

The trend from the promoters of vaccines is to label ‘outsiders’ as anti-immunisation lobby groups. The truth is these people are dedicated health professionals filling in the void with medical data and facts to assist the confused community. While one uses advertising to promote vaccines, the other uses documented facts to encourage research and informed decisions.

Non-vaccinating parents may find themselves running the gauntlet of a ‘pushy’ sector of the medical system that calls them ill-educated and a danger to society. Sometimes their valid reasons are accepted for what they are - valid reasons - backed up by independent research. In such instances the Australian Vaccination Network is a source of information and help, and this may rescue families from an unpleasant encounter.

These families are led to believe they won’t receive childcare benefits. This is a misconception. Families need an Immunisation Exemption form from Medicare or download from www.hic.gov.au, and a willing vaccine provider to sign it, and this will ensure they are eligible for Maternity Immunization Allowance and Child Care Benefit.

7. THE AUSTRALIAN VACCINATION NETWORK

The Australian Vaccination Network (AVN) is a friend to a parent in need of information and support. It recognises the right of parents to be adequately informed about vaccination and the right to then make decisions in their children’s best interests. The national organization is assisted by practising medical advisors, is well equipped to give nothing but authentic information on vaccination issues, and liases with similar groups around the world.

The national president has lobbied governments and other authorities on issues that mainly concern discrimination against non-vaccinating families, with some success.

Publication of a full-size, all colour magazine known as Informed Voice is the latest step forward. The publisher is Healthy Families…Naturally which is a division of the AVN and a Charitable Association dedicated to the idea that health can be achieved and maintained without the use of pharmaceutical drugs and vaccines.

8. ALTERNATIVES - HOMEOPATHIC IMMUNISATION and GOOD HEALTH MEASURES

Obscured by the reams of public prominence given to vaccination is the option to choose the alternative natural program of disease prevention. Homeopathic immunisation, correctly termed homeoprophylaxis (shortened to HP), has a record of successful prevention of diseases over a 200 year history. Important advantages are the total absence of toxic materials and the ease of dosage within the home.

With a few exceptions, orthodox medicine in this country is unskilled in homeopathic principles and the history of disease prevention, and therefore not qualified to advise the community. However registered homeopaths are in abundance in parts of Australia and this country produces significant research of HP. A recent survey of 4 to 12 year-olds found 15 times more asthma in the vaccinated children than those given HP.

Not all homeopaths are trained in the use of prevention programs.

The World Health Organisation rates homeopathy the second most widely used medical modality in the world after Traditional Chinese medicine. There are 5 homeopathic hospitals in England and Scotland. It is second to none as scientific based medicine. Families adhering as much as possible to non-toxic living will naturally progress to HP if the choice is made to prevent diseases, and treatment with homeopathics is a gentle way to alleviate and cure disease should it occur. Families are turning to it when vaccination goes wrong, or as newcomers they are learning this will give their children a high degree of protection with no needles, no side effects as such, and at little cost.

While children’s health is generally known to benefit after HP, there are also well-founded reasons for parents to simply choose healthful living, a happy environment and natural remedies for their children. Acquiring any of the natural diseases at an appropriate time, for example measles, mumps, whooping cough, chickenpox, may still give more certain long-term immunity. Children are said to be at more risk from unnatural diseases such as Hib, meningococcal and pneumococcal as a result of lowered health. Health practitioners are concerned that vaccines weaken the immune system. Pasteur is quoted as changing his mind and saying "it’s not the germ, but the conditions within the body (that cause disease)".
