Normal skin sheds old cells and renews them every 28 days, but this process slows as you age. Exfoliating your skin will restore its healthy glow. Organic Coffee Body Scrub 3 tablespoons Coffee grounds (organic-caffeinated ) 1 tablespoon sea salt To Make: Brew a fresh pot of coffee.Put grounds (and salt) in a small bowl. Use grounds within 20 minutes of brewing before oxidation occurs. To Use: Scrub mixture over entire body while in the shower. Rinse and Moisturize. Dry-brush Massaging A dry-brush massage is a terrific treatment for your skin. It stimulates the circulation and gets rid of the dead cells that can make skin look dull; skin feels very 'alive' after brushing. It's possible to buy inexpensive, long handled brushes. Use the brush before you bath or shower and brush in a circular movement all over your body, paying special attention to areas where there are glands, such as the armpits, groin and just below the collarbone. Be gentle on breasts and around the genital area. Body Scrub This scrub will thoroughly cleanse the skin. You can either use salt or sugar - try both to see which you prefer. The salt and sugar exfoliate the skin and the oil mositurizes, so you come out of the shower with skin that feels like that of a new baby. 4-5 teaspoons sugar or salt 1 teaspoon organic olive / coconut oil 1 drop essential oil of your choice Mix the ingredients together very well. Wet your whole body in the shower, then turn the water off. Apply the sugar or salt scrub and massage into your skin. Don't use it on your face until you are sure that it's not too abrasive. Rinse well.
