Halloween can be lots of fun, but it's also a time when you can either trick or treat Mother Nature. Just because we try and make Halloween night safe and nutritious, doesn't mean it can't be fun and easy on the environment.

The costumes, the treats, the party, and grown up antics help make it fun, without being wasteful. Eco kids like to see parents lighten up and act like kids again. As long as you weave in safety rules with fun and respect for the environment, children both accept it and expect it. So this Halloween, go green + have loads of fun!

Here are some eco-friendly ways you can encourage your Eco kids to go green and celebrate Halloween. Connect with nature in a whole new way by making all-natural and recycled Halloween crafts, costumes and decorations.

Focusing on becoming a "Green" family working to instil eco-friendly Halloween activities into everyday activities. Teach Eco Kids the importance of preserving our resources this Halloween and beyond.

Planet-friendly Halloween food can and should be a delight to look at and to eat, as well as being nutritious, the main thing to keep in mind when preparing parties for Eco kids is to keep the food organic, simple and easy to eat.

Be creative in order to fight the attraction of their playmates 'candy /sweets' trick or treats and party food.

Frequently explain and read books to Eco kids the benefits of organic living foods. Subconsciously, they will retain what you tell them.

Recycle at Halloween. If you can't reuse something, dont just throw it away! 

Once Halloween is over, recycle your pumpkins, the straw you used to build scarecrows and any other organic material by composting it. The compost can be used as fertilizer for your garden.

Lay your pumpkin to rest with love and dignity - bury or compost the pumpkin carcass or give to the worms or guinea pigs as a Halloween treat.
