Don’t spend cash on wedding stuff that you won’t use after the wedding. Instead, borrow! You’re not only saving money and reducing waste, you’re creating tradition and heirlooms. Recently married friends and family probably have things you can borrow like veils, tiaras, jewelry, ring pillows, cufflinks. Your crafty pals may have things like paper cutters, a good printer, rubber stamps, paper punches and other craft tools.

We had a DIY and borrowed wedding, we didn't even have a wedding cake, instead we planted a tree (as our reception was in our backyard) it turned out quite beautiful as our attendants dug the hole we had lovely singing and the guests all joined in the song and we put the first scoop of dirt instead of cutting a cake. It is our very special tree that has blossomed and bloomed with us over the years.

Newtoyou what a beautiful idea - planting a tree, instead of cutting a wedding cake.

I remake vintage gowns into new for brides ( as I am a mom , I only take on a few per year) and I am full for this year. But I will be sharing this great idea.

To have a waste-free wedding is the ideal. It is possible to still have an elegant wedding.
