Use screwed up damp newspaper to clean windows, and a dry one to finish the shine. (they do) The remainder can then be used as mulch. Good value for a newspaper!

Dust with a damp cloth to ensure that household dust, which collects toxins, is removed from surfaces and not stirred back into the air
Ask guests to remove their shoes when entering your home. That way, they won’t track in pollutants.
Buy a vacuum cleaner with a HEPA filter. These special filters trap unhealthy dust particles.
Open windows and doors occasionally (even in winter!) to rinse out any air pollutants that have accumulated inside.
10 tips for a green, clean kit --- 1. A bucket 2. Spray bottles 3.Rag or scrubber 4.vinegar 5. Baking soda 6. Lemons 7. Elbow grease 8. washing soda 9. tea tree oil 10. castille soap.

Mould Killers
Tea tree oil is expensive, but a little goes a very long way. Note that the smell of tea tree oil is very strong, but it will dissipate in a few days.

2 teaspoons tea tree oil
2 cups water

Combine in a spray bottle, shake to blend, and spray on problem areas. Do not rinse. Makes two cups.

Pour some white distilled vinegar straight into a spray bottle, spray on the moldy area, and let set without rinsing if you can put up with the smell. It will dissipate in a few hours.

Deodorizer
Keep a clean spray bottle filled with straight 5 percent vinegar in your kitchen near your cutting board and in your bathroom and use them for cleaning. I often spray the vinegar on our cutting board before going to bed at night, and don’t even rinse but let it set overnight
Straight vinegar is also great for cleaning the toilet rim. Just spray it on and wipe off. Everything Spray Cleaner

Everything Spray Cleaner
1/2 teaspoon washing soda
A dab of liquid soap
2 cups hot tap water
Combine the ingredients in a spray bottle and shake until the washing soda has dissolved. Apply and wipe off with a sponge or rag.

To dust walls, cut off one leg of an old pair of panty hose. Pull the leg over the dust mop and your walls become cobweb and dust free. Machine wash the panty hose.

To clean stains in grout, fill a bottle with a 50/50 solution of hydrogen peroxide and water. Thoroughly spray the stain. Let that set 10 minutes and retreat if needed. Grout is porous and may need retreating several times. After the third try, mix a paste using baking soda and peroxide. Let that set on the stain several hours, respraying with the peroxide and water solution. Vacuum the baking soda.

For an upholstery green do-it-yourself cleaner
Mix 1/4 cup liquid soap with 3 tablespoons water. Rub foam into upholstery with a cotton cloth, then rinse with a clean sponge.
