The site works by defining the products’ eco-friendly status. In this way buyers and sellers can find each other – easily. The categories under which products trade are listed below, along with the reason why we believe it is important.

Organic / Natural

Organic and natural methods build soil fertility without artificial fertilisers or the damaging effects of pesticides.

Fair-trade

Fair-trade products ensure that producers in developing nations are given a fair price for the products that they produce and that such products adhere to minimum social and environmental practices.

Recycled

By buying recycled, you can reduce landfill, chemical use, raw materials and energy.

Charity / Campaign / Educational (Coming Soon)

Many products can be bought in support of good causes. In this way your product can provide help in related issues.

Energy Conscious (Coming Soon)

Many products use up more resources than they need to. For example, compact fluorescent bulbs are better than filament bulbs. Energy conscious products minimise the amount of energy and resources in their production or use.

The goal of ecostudio is to develop and maintain an eco marketplace. While content is moderated by ecostudio, the site is also maintained by collaboration of users to improve the workings, provide advice as well as report bad use of the site.
